The Experimental Study of How Emotion Affacts Fairness Preferences In Decisionmaking
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (11):  644-653.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.11.002
    Abstract ( 330 )   PDF(pc) (620KB) ( 777 )   Save
By using the MiniUltimatum Game experiment paradigm this study explored how the different type of emotion affacted the fairness preference in decisionmaking. 250 university students participants were induced to be in different type of emotion by the International Affective Picture System (IAPS) and videos in Study 1 and 2. The results showed that (1) In different types of emotion the participants showed different preference for the fairness of decisionmaking. (2) The participants in positive emotions more preferred the intentionbased fairness, whereas the participants in negative emotions were more preferred resultsbased fairness. (3) Pleasant emotions made participants prefer intentionbased fairness, anger and sad emotions made them more preferred intentionbased fairness.

Anthropomorphism of Nature and Proenvironmental Behaviors of College Students: the Mediating Effect of Empathy with Nature
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (11):  654-664.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.11.003
    Abstract ( 455 )   PDF(pc) (639KB) ( 1976 )   Save
The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between anthropomorphism of nature and proenvironment behavior, and the possible mediating role of empathy with nature. There were three scales mentioned in the current study: Natural Anthropomorphism Questionnaire, Dispositional Empathy with Nature and Self reported Proenvironmental Behavior. A sample of 528 university students were recruited to participate in the study. The results showed that: (1) Anthropomorphism of nature was positively correlated with empathy with nature, in the meanwhile, anthropomorphism of nature and empathy with nature were all positively correlated with proenvironmental behavior as well. (2) The proenvironmental behavior in college students kept a higher level and the level of female students proenvironmental behavior was significantly higher than that of male students. (3) The level of empathy with nature had a significant difference in gender and place. The level of female students empathy with nature was significantly higher than that of male students. Rural students empathy with nature was higher than urban students. (4) Anthropomorphism of nature not only could influence the proenvironment behavior directly, but also had an indirect effect through empathy with nature. Empathy with nature partially mediated the influence of anthropomorphism of nature on proenvironmental behavior. It suggests that we should attach great importance to the variables affecting people environmental behavior and guide people especially college students to protect our environment consciously.

Perceived Social Support on Adolescent Depression: Mediating Role of Selfesteem and Regulation Role of Gender
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (11):  665-671.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.11.004
    Abstract ( 423 )   PDF(pc) (632KB) ( 1015 )   Save
In order to explore the relationship among perceived social support, selfesteem and adolescent depression, and the regulating role of gender, 635 middle school students were tested by using the Perceived Social Support Questionnaire, Rosenberg SelfEsteem Scale and Baker SelfRating Depression Scale in this paper. The results showed that there was a significant correlation among depression, selfesteem and perceived social support, and the direct effect of perceived social support was significant on adolescent depression as well as the direct effect of selfesteem on adolescent depression; selfesteem played a mediating role in comprehending the relationship between perceived social support and adolescent depression; gender played a regulating role in comprehending the relationship among perceived social support, selfesteem and adolescent depression. This shows that perceived social support can directly affect adolescent depression, also indirectly affect it through selfesteem, and be subject to gender regulation.

The Shortform Teacher Efficacy Scale: A Study of Reliability and Validity
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (11):  672-679.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.11.005

TschannenMoran and Hoys (2001) Shortform Teacher Efficacy Scale (TSE) was translated into Chinese and examined based on a sample of 609 inservice primary and secondary school teachers. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses found that in contrast to the factor structure of the original TSE scale, the Chinese version of TSE consists of two factors: efficacy for classroom management and efficacy for learning and teaching. The Chinese version of TSE showed good reliability and validity and it is evident that it can serve as a reliable and effective tool for weighing primary and secondary teachers selfefficacy. The cause of the differences in factor numbers, the limitations of the study and suggestions for future studies were discussed.

Concept, Measuring Tools, Characteristics, and Mechanism of Ageism
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (11):  680-688.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.11.006

As a kind of discrimination and prejudice against the elderly, the negative influence of ageism is gradually concerned by the researchers. Based on organizing and summarizing the relevant ageism studies at home and abroad, this paper introduced the concept of ageism, measuring tools, and analyzed the characteristics of ageism, summed up the mechanism for the formation of ageism. Not only should future research continue to explore the formation and development of ageism in the whole process of life, but also focus on the integration of measuring tools, the affecting factors of ageism, and how to reduce ageism.

Culture's Effects on Women's Selfobjectification and Hypothesized Mechanisms
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (11):  689-694.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.11.007
    Abstract ( 764 )   PDF(pc) (562KB) ( 2001 )   Save
Sexual objectification is the experience of being treated as a body (or collection of body parts) valued predominantly for its use to (or consumption by) others. The internalization of an observers perspective on the physical self is called selfobjectification. Present studies have paid much attention to the negative results of selfobjectification on womens health and wellbeing. However, few studies have investigated the causes of selfobjectification in the aspect of culture. After reviewing the effects of culture on selfobjectification and comparing the crosscultural studies on selfobjectification, the hypothesized mechanisms have been discussed. Culture has influence on attitudes and behaviors of individuals through its effects on self, and different cultures have influences on selfobjectification through selfworth and selfconsciousness and have negative consequences on womens mental and physical health. Finally, this study attempts to provide another direction and method for future exploration on selfobjectification.

The Relationship between University Students Environmental Values and Green Commuting:A Case Study on Bikesharing
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (11):  695-701.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.11.008
    Abstract ( 298 )   PDF(pc) (597KB) ( 409 )   Save
Green commuting which refers to the transportation with the least impact on environment, may result from environmental values. In order to explore the relationship between environmental values and green commuting of university students , the study, taking 1200 university students in Nanjing as subjects, was conducted using shared cycling as the green way, and using new environmental paradigm scalerevised, the university students environmental attitude scale and the questionnaire of shared bikes usage as measuring instruments. The results showed that: (1)There was a significantly positive correlation between university students environmental values and green commuting, and environmental attitudes were functioned as mediator variables. (2)53 percent of the subjects payed attention to green commuting and were optimistic about the development of shared bikes. But there were still many problems of shared bikes to be improved. This study further expanded the domestic research on the influencing factors of green commuting and provided reference for the relevant departments that formulate measures to promote the students green commuting.
