The pilot randomized controlled study was conducted
to investigate the effectiveness of the computerized cognitive
behavioral therapy(CCBT)recourses for Chinese international students
suffering with depressive and anxious symptoms. Eligible participants
were randomly assigned to the immediate access group or the delayed
access control group. Intervention was provided for the delayed access
group after the immediate access group completing the intervention.
Results showed that the depression and anxiety scores of both groups
decreased significantly after taking the intervention; and there were
significant differences between the scores of depression and anxiety of
these two groups. That is to say, the Chinese version of the CCBT system
has significant therapeutic effect in relieving symptoms of depression
and anxiety among Chinese international students.
