Abstract: As more female labor forces are entering the workplace worldwide, increasing number of studies, both home and abroad, are now focusing on the impact of female workers on various behaviors in the workplace. The advantages of women staff are that they can contribute to improve the long-term performance of enterprises, serve as an active role of social networks, and restrict themselves from immoral behavior. In terms of limitations, female leaders are not conducive to short-term corporate performance, and will suffer lower pay than their male counterparts and more impolite working behavior from others. These phenomena can be attributed to one reason which is the gender stereotype and discrimination caused by the construct of social gender. The paper identifies the advantages and limitations of female employees of organizational behavior in various aspects by systematically summarizing the research in recent years, providing a broader horizon for gender diversity, clarifying the theoretical basis and mechanism of action, and pointing out the direction for follow-up researches.

Key words: female staff, organizational behavior, organizational performance, family-work conflict, gender discrimination
