Research Status and Tendency of Altruistic Behavior at Home and Abroad

Abstract: Helping others with no expectations in return is referred to as altruistic behavior, which is an advanced level of moral development. In recent years, domestic researches on altruistic behavior have shown an increasing trend owning to its importance to social mentality and psychosocial health. This article aimed to summarize the spatial and temporal distribution, research progress and major research field based on the analysis and integration of previous studies from CNKI and Web of Science, then discuss the development trend of future studies. Taking experimental paradigms as the mainly method and having a more interdisciplinary and crossregional collaborative in broadness and depth of further studies would be one of the development tendency.
