Abstract: To explore the relationship between sense of hope, state anxiety and subjective wellbeing incollege students during the epidemic of COVID-19. A sample of 185 subjects were investigated with Adult Dispositional Hope Scale, Selfrating Anxiety Scale and General WellBeing Schedule. The results indicated that: (1) State anxiety is significantly negatively correlated with subjective wellbeing, state anxiety is significantly negatively correlated with sense of hope, and sense of hope is significantly positively correlated with subjective wellbeing; (2) Sense of hope played a partial mediating role between state anxiety and subjective wellbeing. The above results show that college students state anxiety can not only directly predict subjective wellbeing, but also indirectly affect subjective wellbeing through the mediating role of sense of hope.
