A meta-analysis was conducted to explore the relationship between the surface acting and deep acting, both of which are components of emotional labor strategies. A total of 162 independent samples(N=63629) from 150 articles meet the standard for further analysis. Results showed that surface acting and deep acting were positively related. The test of moderating effect suggested that the response format of scales, measuring instrument, and the vocational type significantly moderated the relationship between surface acting and deep acting. Specifically, when the response format was by frequency, the relationship between surface acting and deep acting was stronger than that by degree. When using the scale developed by Brotheridge and Lee(2003), the correlation between surface acting and deep acting was higher than the scales of Grandey(2003) and Diefendorff et al.(2005). The relationship between surface acting and deep acting in caring professions was significantly higher than that in commercial service professions. Research methods had no significant moderating effect on the relationship between surface acting and deep acting. These results provide implications for studying of the theory and measurement of emotional labor.

ZHANG Feiyi, JIANG Lijiao, XU Kesong
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2021, 9 (2):  77-87.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2021.02.002
    Abstract ( 656 )   PDF(pc) (823KB) ( 1595 )   Save
Subjective well-being has always been an important variable for psychologists. In the study, the physical exercise rating scale, the interpersonal relationships harassment comprehensive diagnostic scale, the selfesteem scale and the Campbell happiness index scale were used to collect data, and a total of 521 questionnaires were collected. The results show that (1) the individual mediating effect of interpersonal relationships harassment and selfesteem is significant, and the mediating effect is about 31.00%; (2) The intermediary model is established, and the path from interpersonal relationships harassment to self-esteem is significant. The mediation effect is about 16.89%, and the direct effect is significant. This means that physical exercise can directly improve subjective well-being, and it can also improve subjective well-being by improving interpersonal relationships harassment and self-esteem. This study not only proves that physical exercise is a good practice, but also provides a theoretical basis for the improvement of subjective well-being, that is, to improve subjective well-being by improving interpersonal relationships harassment and self-esteem.

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between future orientation and learning autonomy, and analyze the effects of academic delay of gratification and time management disposition. Questionnaire survey was used to investigate 731 college students. The results indicate that:(1) there are significant positive correlations between future orientation, academic delay of gratification, time management disposition and learning autonomy; (2) there is a mediating effect between future orientation and learning autonomy. Future orientation directly affects college students' learning autonomy, and indirectly affects learning autonomy through academic delay satisfaction and time management disposition. This study analyzes the important factors related to college students' learning autonomy, further reveals the mechanism of college students' autonomous learning, and provides an important theoretical basis for the development of college students' learning autonomy.

To explore the multiple mediating effect of prosocial behaviors and basic psychological needs between eudaimonia orientation and happiness. A total 665 college students from Shandong Province were tested with the Orientations to Happiness Scale, the Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction Scale, the Prosocial Behavior Scale, the Positive and Negative Affect Scale and the Satisfaction with Life Scale. The results demonstrated that: (1) Prosocial behaviors and basic psychological needs mediated the effect of eudaimonia orientation on happiness; (2) Prosocial behaviors and basic psychological needs play a parallel mediating effect between eudaimonia orientation and happiness. Therefore, eudaimonic orientation has a direct impact on happiness and also has an indirect impact on happiness through basic psychological needs and prosocial behaviors.

SHI Zifu, HOU Ruyue, GUAN Jinliang, TIAN Hui, ZHENG Meiling, PENG Lifang
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2021, 9 (2):  102-108.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2021.02.005
    Abstract ( 439 )   PDF(pc) (647KB) ( 838 )   Save
In order to explore the relationship between stressful life events and online game addiction among college students, as well as the satisfaction of basic psychological needs and the role of social support in the relationship, 617 college students in Hunan province were investigated by using the Online Game Addiction Scale, Adolescent Life Events Scale, Chinese Version of Basic Psychological Needs questionnaire and Perceived Social Support Scale. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between stressful life events and the tendency of online game addiction. Basic psychological needs satisfaction played a part in mediating the relationship between stressful life events and online game addiction. Understanding that social support regulates the mediating role of basic psychological need satisfaction in the relationship between stressful life events and online game addiction, specifically, it regulates the front part of the mediation model. Therefore, there is a moderated mediating model between college students stressful life events and their addiction tendency to online games.

    Abstract ( 424 )   PDF(pc) (620KB) ( 358 )   Save
The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of covert narcissism on driver's aggressive behavior and the mediating role of driver's anger cognition. Narcissistic personality questionnaire, driver aggression questionnaire and driving anger cognitive questionnaire were used to measure the participants. The data were analyzed by correlation analysis, regression analysis and mediating effect analysis. Results showed that there was no correlation between all dimensions of overt narcissism and the expression of driver's physical and vehicle attack. Only covert narcissism privilege can significantly predict the expression of driver's physical attack and vehicle attack among the three dimensions of covert narcissism. The thoughts of revenge in driver's anger cognition played mediating roles in the covert narcissistic privilege and the use of vehicle expression.

WU Xuyao, HUANG Xu, LI Jing
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2021, 9 (2):  116-125.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2021.02.007
    Abstract ( 986 )   PDF(pc) (761KB) ( 969 )   Save
The goal of this study is to develop digital hoarding behavior scale with Chinese cultural background and test its validity and reliability. Using semistructured interviews with 10 participants and reviewing the literature, the study defined the dimensions of the scale and compiled the preliminary questionnaire. First, we collected 352 valid questionnaires for item analysis and exploratory factor analysis. After two weeks, we collected 577 valid questionnaires for confirmatory factor analysis, discriminant validity analysis, convergent validity analysis and internal consistency reliability analysis. Results shows there were 13 items in the digital hoarding behavior scale, which consisted of 3 dimensions: emotion attachment, work related and accumulating. The result of CFA indicated that the threefactor model fit well. The correlation coefficients between this scale and Saving Inventory-Revised Scale and Digital Hoarding Questionnaire were 0.23, 0.67 respectively, with a good discriminant validity and convergent validity. The internal consistency reliabilities of total scale and subscales were 0.87, 0.86, 0.67, 0.79 respectively. The Digital Hoarding Behavior Scale we developed in this study had good reliability and validity, thus it is suitable to measure individuals digital hoarding behavior in Chinese cultural background.
