Abstract: The goal of this study is to develop digital hoarding behavior scale with Chinese cultural background and test its validity and reliability. Using semistructured interviews with 10 participants and reviewing the literature, the study defined the dimensions of the scale and compiled the preliminary questionnaire. First, we collected 352 valid questionnaires for item analysis and exploratory factor analysis. After two weeks, we collected 577 valid questionnaires for confirmatory factor analysis, discriminant validity analysis, convergent validity analysis and internal consistency reliability analysis. Results shows there were 13 items in the digital hoarding behavior scale, which consisted of 3 dimensions: emotion attachment, work related and accumulating. The result of CFA indicated that the threefactor model fit well. The correlation coefficients between this scale and Saving Inventory-Revised Scale and Digital Hoarding Questionnaire were 0.23, 0.67 respectively, with a good discriminant validity and convergent validity. The internal consistency reliabilities of total scale and subscales were 0.87, 0.86, 0.67, 0.79 respectively. The Digital Hoarding Behavior Scale we developed in this study had good reliability and validity, thus it is suitable to measure individuals digital hoarding behavior in Chinese cultural background.

Key words: digital hoarding behavior, reliability, validity
