Based on the process dissociation analysis model of moral dilemma judgments and the survey of 236 college students, the present study explores the relationship between personal sense of power, moral thinking orientation and moral dilemma judgments. The results find that: (1) personal sense of power indirectly promotes individual’s utilitarian tendencies (U-parameter) by increasing the deliberation moral thinking and decreasing the sentiment moral thinking, with no direct effect on utilitarian moral judgments; and (2) personal sense of power directly and positively predicts individual’s deontological tendencies (D-parameter) without the mediation of moral thinking orientation. It is indicated that personal sense of power influences utilitarian and deontological moral judgments by different mechanisms.

    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2022, 10 (8):  458-465.
    Abstract ( 284 )   PDF(pc) (621KB) ( 763 )   Save

Taking domestic violence cases as an example, using experiments to explore the influential mechanism of victims' emotional state and injury degree on their credibility. Results showed that in domestic violence cases, the credibility of sad victims is significantly higher than that of calm victims, and the credibility of seriously injured victims is significantly higher than that of slightly injured victims; The victim's sadness is in line with the observer's expectations of his role as a victim, leading to sympathy for them, which can enhance their credibility. In judicial practice, the victims' sadness should be rationally evaluated, we should not only respect the victims' right to express sadness, but also avoid its possible adverse impact on the realization of litigation value.

Effects of Situational Cues on Bystanders' Cyberbullying Behavior

    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2022, 10 (8):  466-476.
    Abstract ( 312 )   PDF(pc) (685KB) ( 1188 )   Save

This study focuses on the psychological mechanism behind bystanders' cyberbullying behavior, the mediating effect of state empathy and the moderating effect of normative beliefs on aggressive behavior. In the study, 94 qualified participants were tested by using the one-factor between-subject experimental design with two different levels (situational clues: text, text + video). The results revealed that (1) Situational cues had a significant predictive effect on bystanders’ cyberbullying behavior, and it became marginal significant when state empathy was introduced as mediator; (2) Situational cues showed a significant predictive effect on state empathy, as the latter one significantly predicted bystanders’ cyberbullying behavior; (3) The moderating effect of normative beliefs on aggressive behavior was not significant. The research revealed that richness of situational cues influence bystanders’ state empathy when they witnessed bullying cases online, it would lead to, whatever their normative beliefs on aggressive behaviors are, cyberbullying toward those bullies in the name of “helping the victims before”.

The Effects of Type, Intensity and Processing Method of Facial Expression on Emotional Understanding of Children with Autism
CHEN Yihua, WU Huifang, ZHANG Yu
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2022, 10 (8):  477-482.
    Abstract ( 240 )   PDF(pc) (664KB) ( 775 )   Save

This study used an experimental method to explore the effects of type, intensity and processing method of facial expression on emotional understanding of children with autism. Twenty autistic children participated in the formal experiment. The results showed: (1) There were differences in the recognition of different facial expressions in children with autism. (2) The correct recognition rate of overall facial expressions of autistic children was significantly better than the correct recognition rate of partial facial expressions. (3) The correct recognition rate of high-intensity facial expressions of autistic children was significantly better than that of low-intensity facial expressions. (4) The facial expression processing method and expression intensity of children with autism had an interactive influence. In the overall processing mode, the correct rate of expression recognition at 100% strength was significantly higher than that at 50% strength. In the partial processing mode, the correct rate of expression recognition at 100% strength and the correct rate at 50% strength were not significantly different. Conclusion: Emotion understanding of autistic children is affected by facial expression type, intensity and processing style.

    Abstract ( 665 )   PDF(pc) (657KB) ( 3297 )   Save

To explore the relationship between social networks sites using, college students’ innovation behavior, as well as the mechanism of creative self-efficacy and self-esteem. The current study collected 1014 college students’ data using social networking sites using strength scale, Rosenberg self-esteem scale, the creative self-efficacy scale and innovation behavior scale. The results indicated that: (1) The social networks sites using positively and significantly predicted colleges’ innovation behavior. (2) College students’ creative self-efficacy played a partially mediating role between social network sites using and innovation behavior. (3) College students’ self-esteem moderated the relationship between social network sites using and creative self-efficacy. Specifically, In the low self-esteem group, the social network sites using has a stronger predictive effect on creative self-efficacy.

Research on Self-Control Evaluation Based on Deep Learning and Behavioral Data

    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2022, 10 (8):  492-501.
    Abstract ( 214 )   PDF(pc) (745KB) ( 749 )   Save

Self-control ability (self-control) is an important ability for individuals to adapt to society and achieve life goals. However, the task experiments and scales commonly used in psychology need to consume a lot of time and human resources. At the same time, the subjective consciousness of the research object will affect the confidence of the evaluation results. This paper proposes a self-control evaluation method based on LSTM model. The method uses the behavior data of college students on campus as the data source, and uses the LSTM model to extract the time series characteristics of the behavior data. On the test set, the correlation coefficient between the evaluation result and the psychological scale method measurement result is 0.66, and the method can eliminate the subjective influence of the research object. It is suitable for large-scale student self-control evaluation in schools and has important application prospects.

Mechanism and Model of How Entrepreneurs Learn from the Actions
    CHEN Yanni
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2022, 10 (8):  502-512.
    Abstract ( 149 )   PDF(pc) (718KB) ( 346 )   Save

Based on the theory of action regulation, the paper explores the mechanism and model of how entrepreneurs learn form the actions. Action errors are primary learning sources; and they are different from failures, key events and performance mistakes. Error detection and self-regulation behaviors provide new cognitive feedback to entrepreneurs, while deliberate practice links the new lessons to behaviors. According to social cognitive theory, the paper proposes that factors including environmental dynamism, entrepreneurial experience and cognitive ability can influence the learning process. Entrepreneurial experience will help entrepreneurs make less errors in stable environments, but help them detect more action errors in a dynamic environment. Entrepreneurs’ deliberate practice won’t benefit the ventures as these behaviors are not necessary, but waste energy and resources in a stable environment. However, entrepreneurs’ deliberate practices contribute to the development of the ventures in a dynamic environment.
