Abstract: Psychology as a subject should satisfy the needs and demands of national and societal development, and respond the mission of understanding and improving reality. To achieve these purposes, it must carry out some necessary adjustments and transformations. On the aspect of research rationals, it should strengthen its application orientation and the ability of changing reality, so as to solve more practical problems. On the aspect of empirical research methods, it should include both subjective and objective variables in a study, adopt samples consisting of diverse populations and in different sizes, improve ecological validity, correctly use statistical approaches. On the aspect of theoretical thinking, it should apply both the logic of hypothesisdeduction and induction, and be good at developing original theories.
