Abstract:

The generation of emotions is closely related to physical changes.The changes in the physical state and its internal sensory signals can constitute emotional feelings, and it is possible to shape emotional styles.Internal feelings and emotions have a common physiological basis, which is centered on the anterior insula and the anterior cingulate cortex.The predictive processing theory of inner feelings provides us with a theoretical framework that integrates inner feelings and emotions.According to the theory of internal perception prediction processing(IPP), emotional state is produced in the process of reducing internal perception prediction errors and predicting the causes of internal perception signals.The predictive processing theory of internal feelings not only provides a new theoretical perspective for re-understanding the relationship between internal feelings and emotions, but also provides a new possible method for the treatment of emotional-related mental illnesses from the perspective of internal feelings.
