    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (1):  12-18.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.01.002

The experiment used a singlefactor betweensubject design and induced positive emotions to explores the effect of different emotion regulation modes on the attention transfer and stability. The result showed that different emotion regulation modes (noregulation group, reappraisal and rumination group) could significantly improve the attention transfer and three kinds of modes of regulation were not significant different on diversionary. Effects of different emotion regulation modes on the stability of attention were significant. That is, the stability of attention of noregulation group increased more significantly than reappraisal group. However, noregulation group and rumination group, and reappraisal group and rumination group did not differ significantly between each other.

The Relationship between Childhood Trauma and Internet Addiction among College Students: The Mediating Effect of Coping Styles
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (1):  19-25.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.01.003

This study aimed to explore the relationship and mechanism among the childhood trauma, coping styles and the Internet addiction of college students. 420 college students were administered using Child psychological abuse and neglect scale, Young internet addiction scale and Simplified coping style questionnaire. The results demonstrated that the proportion of Internet addiction for college students was relatively high. The significant positive predictive role was found between childhood trauma to Internet addiction, and there was the significant negative correlations between coping styles to Internet addiction, with the coping styles playing partially mediating role between childhood trauma and Internet addiction. This study suggested that childhood trauma could not only directly influence Internet addiction for college students, but indirectly impact on Internet addiction through coping styles.

Study on the Relationship between Loneliness and Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies among Migrant Workers
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (1):  26-31.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.01.004
    Abstract ( 378 )   PDF(pc) (556KB) ( 864 )   Save
This study investigated the characteristics of loneliness, eight kinds of cognitive emotion regulation strategies (acceptance, rumination, positive refocusing, positive planning and reappraisal, self-comfort, self-blame, other-blame, catastrophizing) and their relationship of migrant workers in Shenzhen city. Meanwhile, this study would be helpful to reveal mental condition and mental resilience mechanism of migrant workers. UCLA Loneliness Scale (The 3rd Edition) and Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire were applied on 93 migrant workers in Shenzhen city ranged 21~45 years old. The result suggested that most of migrant workers experienced loneliness. In addition, the strategies which they often use are adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies. Moreover, Loneliness was positively correlated with acceptance, rumination, catastrophizing, self-blame, other-blame; while loneliness was negatively correlated with positive planning and reappraisal. Besides, catastrophizing, positive planning and rumination could significantly predict loneliness.

The Concept Structure and Measurement of the Sustainable Mental Model
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (1):  32-42.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.01.005

As a new construct, Sustainable Mental Model can be defined as the cognitive schemata, environmental value and psychological mechanism when someone dwells with environmental problems and sustainability issues, with which we can explain, judge and predict sustainability phenomenon. After literature research and theoretical deduction, this article suggested a model with three dimensions, including sustainability awareness, environmental belief and behavior intention. After several critical and scientific research steps including scale developing, items analyzing, factor confirming analysis, the author put forwards valid and robust scales. It shall be deemed as an aggregate multidimensional construct(AMC) in this study. Thus, the load of different dimensions can be estimated with SEM, after introducing three dependent variables.

SelfThreat and Defense: the Modulation Effect of Selfesteem
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (1):  43-51.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.01.006
    Abstract ( 1112 )   PDF(pc) (655KB) ( 1107 )   Save
Many studies have identified how people react to threatening information about the self. Selfthreat involves the experience of a discrepancy between peoples desired selffeelings and their current selffeelings. A general process model of threat and defense suggests that selfthreat first activates basic neural processes related to anxiety; then, proximal defenses result directly from anxious arousal and heightened attentional vigilance associated with anxious states; after that, distal defenses mute anxiety by activating approachoriented states. Researchers also proposed that people might engage in one of three regulatory responses to threat: compensation, resistance, and breaking and that individuals trait selfesteem affects the progress of threat and defense. Future research should try to focus on the contextdependency of threat, separately measure the multiple stage of defense, integrate the various factors that might affect the defense strategy, establish a general threat and defense model. Moreover, researchers should try to explore the universal modulation effect of selfesteem in the relationship between threat and defense.

Grit: Concept, Structure, Influencing Factors, and Consequences
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2017, 5 (1):  52-61.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2017.01.007
    Abstract ( 1567 )   PDF(pc) (633KB) ( 2965 )   Save
In the last decade, a very popular term “grit” which refers to a personality on perseverance appeared in the psychological field abroad. The connotation of “grit” contains two aspects. One refers to persistent efforts for alongterm goal, and the other refers to continued interest about this goal as always. As an important noncognitive personaltrait, grit is highly correlated to some individual characteristics such as selfcontrol and conscientiousness. And grit can strongly predictindividualperformance at school、in the army and on the job.Grittier individuals are more likely to have a better performance than their less grittier counterparts. In addition, grit is also highly correlated withsome positive psychological traits such as positive emotions and affections. In the end, we propose that future research probe into the concept and structure of grit, improve the measuring and research methods and broaden the relevant variables.
