To deeply understand the emotional valence characteristics of moral feelings of “being moved”, MP150 multi-channel physiological recorder was used to measure the physiological and psychological indexes of electrocardiogram(ECG), respiration piration(RSP), and electrodermal activity(EDA) in different emotional states. Results showed that: the EDA of “being moved” state was significantly higher than that of the negative emotion, but there was no significant difference with that  of the positive emotion. There was no significant difference in ECG and RSP among the three emotional states. Conclusions: the moral emotion of “being moved” is related to the significantly increased level of EDA, EDA can distinguish “being moved” from negative emotion, moral feelings of “being moved” essentially reflects the positive emotional valence, which provides some support for the social function.

This study adopts the qualitative research method to explore the concept structure of the calling of policeman and the main factors affecting the policeman’s practice of living the calling. We define the calling of policeman as an inner incentive to motivate policeman to follow the summons of the Party, contribute and sacrifice for the interests of the nation and the people, take initiative and devote to realizing their own values in the work. The concept of calling includes four dimensions: faith summons, prosociality, initiative and self-realization. Ideal, belief, responsibility, having the courage to take the responsibility, self-growth and team atmosphere are the main factors affecting the implementation of the mission. Good team atmosphere, appropriate job rewards and organizational environment where a person’s self-value can be fully realized are needed to transform the calling into the motivation for living the calling. The research builds a theoretical foundation for the study of calling in Chinese conditions.

    Abstract ( 321 )   PDF(pc) (721KB) ( 1040 )   Save
The present study investigated the relationship between selfies and friendship quality, as well as its internal mechanism – the mediating role of perceived positive feedback and the moderating role of extraversion. 490 college students complete a battery of questionnaires, including the Selfies questionnaire, the Positive Feedback Scale, Friendship Quality scale, and Extraversion. The results indicated that: (1) selfies positively predicted college students’ friendship quality; (2) extraversion moderated the second path of mediation effect - perceived positive feedback mediating the relationship between selfies and college students’ friendship quality. Specifically, perceived positive feedback only positively predicted friendship quality among individuals with low extraversion, not in people with high extraversion.

    Abstract ( 279 )   PDF(pc) (702KB) ( 947 )   Save
This study examined the effects of value affirmation intervention on female college students' mental task performance under stereotype threat following multi-threat framework, and compared the effects of group-affirmation and self-affirmation.  In experiment 1, the subjects who wrote the group-affirmation had lower task performance under group-as-target stereotype threat, and showed greater Stroop interference effect.  In experiment 2, both group-affirmation and self-affirmation can buffer the effect of self-as-target stereotype threat. The current research has verified the effectiveness of value affirmation in eliminating the negative effects of stereotype threat, and the conditions of value affirmation intervention, providing new ideas for stereotype threat intervention.

According to JAS paradigm, coin estimation task was used to measure the weight of advice. The results showed that: (1) Advice taking in fear state was higher than that in anger and neutral state. (2) Compared with that in disgust and neutral state, participants in the sad had more receptive to advice. This result supports the appraisal-tendency framework to a certain extent.

    Abstract ( 1200 )   PDF(pc) (677KB) ( 1708 )   Save

Metaverse is a hot topic recently, which has aroused widespread concern from all walks of life. The possible impact of the metaverse on the field of psychology includes creating a new field of panoramic learning process by creating an educational metaverse, creating a more scientific and novel teaching model by creating a MOOC metaverse, breaking the “magic circle” to alleviate interpersonal avoidance and promote individual social behavior, fostering individual self-identity by shaping the metaverse cyberpunk culture, improving the effectiveness of school mental health education by building a metaverse psychological experience center, creating a metaverse psychological intervention system based on traditional behavioral therapy to improve the effectiveness of psychological counseling, etc. However, the emerging technology represented by the metaverse is a double-edged sword. It is not only necessary to pay attention to this opportunity to create a perfect world or to create miracles, but also to guard against potential harm to the development of human society.
