The Influence of Regulatory Emotional Self-Efficacy on Attentional Bias of Emotional Vocabularies

Abstract: Combined with questionnaire and experiment methods, this paper explores the influences of Regulatory Emotional Self-Efficacy (RESE) on emotional vocabularies attention bias. The results showed that (1) Compared with negative emotional vocabularies, individuals had a significantly faster response to positive emotional vocabularies; Compared with the low RESE group, the high RESE group had a significantly faster response to emotional vocabularies.(2) High RESE group had attention bias to positive emotional vocabularies, while low RESE group has no significant emotional attention bias. The results indicated that RESE affected individuals cognitive processing of emotional information, which provided evidence for the intervention of cognitive training and the prediction of mental health level for individual.
