The Influence of Social Support on Coping Style of Migrant Workers

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between social support and coping style of migrant workers. Questionnaire survey method, perceived social support scale, and simple coping style scale were used for 554 migrant workers to carry out the questionnaire adjustment. The results showed that there are differences in the social support of migrant workers monthly income, city work time; the score of positive coping style of migrant workers is than the norm in China the average low; migrant workers active coping style have significant differences in marital status; there was a significant positive correlation between social support and positive coping style of the migrant workers, family support related dimensions with positive coping style and friends support dimension with positive coping style was positively related to other dimensions, and actively support each other, time should be positively correlated, and other support have significant positive effect on prediction of positive coping style.
