Abstract: This study was to explore the relationship among SES, selfesteem and depression of adolescents. Methods: 655 students anonymously completed Family Affluence Scale, Rosenberg SelfEsteem Scale and Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale. Results: (1)SES were positively associated with adolescentsselfesteem, and negatively associated with adolescents depression, selfesteem were negatively associated with adolescents depression; (2) Selfesteem mediated the relationship between SES and depression. The effect of SES on adolescents depression were mediated by selfesteem.
