According to the Chinese medical thought theory and embodied cognition theory, we designed a group counseling project which based on Yikong skill, and try to explore its effectiveness on stress reduction. Methods: 24 subjects participated in the study. Among these people, 12 subjects participated in the experimental group, others in the control groups. Group counseling was given to the experimental group once a week for 6 weeks; the control did not receive any counseling. All the subjects were tested with Chinese Perceived Stress Scale (CPSS), Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90) and General SelfEfficacy Scale (GSES) when the group counseling was started, finished and 1 month after it was finished. Results: (1) After the group counseling, the SCL-90s and CPSS posttest scores of experimental group were significantly lower than before, and the GSES posttest scores were significantly higher than before. Whereas there were no significant difference in scores from the control group on SCL-90、CPSS and GSES.(2) In the tracingtest, the experiment group still had significant higher scores on these scales than before. Conclusions: As a form of intervention, this group counseling program has great positive effect on improving the subjects psychological physiological symptoms and their selfefficacy under the stress situation.

The Relationship between Attitudes toward Agingin Older Adults and Cognitive Aging
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2016, 4 (6):  336-343.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2016.06.003

This study applied Attitudes to Aging Questionnaire(AAQ) and Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA) to evaluate the older adults attitudes toward aging and their cognition. Sixtytwo older adults participated. The results showed that: (1) There are gender and age differences in the older adults attitudes toward aging. And The older adults attitudes aging also connected with education, marital status, living pattern and subjective health condition. As for psychosocial loss, it has gender difference, and relates to marital status and living pattern. As for physical change, age exerts a significant influence. As for psychological gain, it has gender difference, and associated with education level and the number of children they have. (2) Age had a negative effect on cognition aging, while education had a positive effect. In addition, cognition aging is also related to subjective health condition. (3) Cognition aging is significantly related to the older adults attitudes toward aging. Keeping good interpersonal relationship, doing exercise and keeping learning can contribute to slowing the process of cognition aging.

The Effect of Two Types of Emotional Priming on Response Inhibition
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2016, 4 (6):  344-348.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2016.06.004
    Abstract ( 289 )   PDF(pc) (883KB) ( 805 )   Save
To test whether the response inhibition was influenced by subthreshold emotional priming and verify the effect of threshold emotional priming on response inhibition, we used the GoNogo paradigm task to investigate the relationship between two types of emotional priming and response inhibition through two experiments. The results of subthreshold emotional priming experiment found that the response time of negative emotional priming Go task significantly higher than that of positive and neutral emotional priming Go task, and there was no significant difference between positive emotion and neutral emotion. The same result was found by threshold emotional priming experiment, and the false rate of negative emotional priming Nogo task is significantly higher than that of positive and neutral emotional priming Nogo task. The response time under Go task of threshold emotional priming was significantly higher than that of subthreshold emotional priming.

Using Cyberbullying Inventory, Online Social Support and SelfEsteem Scale, we investigated the relationship between college students’ online social support and cyberbullying ,and the intermediary role that selfesteem plays. The results show that students cyberbullying exhibit significant gender differences in online social support , cyberbullying is significantly negatively correlated with selfesteem , cyberbullying is significantly negatively correlated with online social support, selfesteem is an intermediary role in college students online social support and cyberbullying. When college students get more online social support, it will increase their selfevaluation, thereby promate increased their selfesteem, which will be able to reduce their cyberbullying.

Correlates of Implicit and Explicit Prosocial Behavior: Mediating Effect of SelfEsteem
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2016, 4 (6):  356-364.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2016.06.006
    Abstract ( 250 )   PDF(pc) (785KB) ( 620 )   Save
Previous studies showed that selfesteem, mental health, family function and parentchild relationship had an effect on explicit /implicit prosocial behavior tendency. This study made selfesteem as the mediating variable and used structural equation model to explore the effect of above factors on explicit /implicit prosocial behavior tendency. The result indicated that mental health had direct influence on explicit prosocial behavior among the undergraduates; and the family function had the same influence on implicit prosocial behavior. Selfesteem was a full mediator between explicit prosocial behavior, implicit selfprosocial behavior and the factors, while it was a partial mediator between implicit prosocial behavior and the factors. Mental health had direct influence on implicit selfprosocial behavior; family function and the implicit attitude towards parents had the same influence on implicit prosocial behavior.

The Development of Scales of General Metathinking and Situational Metathinking
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2016, 4 (6):  365-375.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2016.06.007
    Abstract ( 241 )   PDF(pc) (687KB) ( 523 )   Save
The research on metacognition has been over four decades and plenty of academic fruits have been achieved, however, there is a salient problem in conceptualizing metacogniton. Concretely, the concept of metacognition includes too many components, such as metamemory, metaattention, metathinking, and involves too many interlaced concepts, such as theory of mind, selfregulation strategies, highorder skills, feeling of knowing and so forth, which blurs the connotation and extension of the concept, and makes it hard to compare the empirical findings about metacognition. As it is usually defined, metacognition refers to "thinking of thinking", yet "thinking of thinking" should be conceptualized as metathinking rather than metacognition. We proposed that metathinking is a special cognitive function of human being, which refers to the function of planning, monitoring, regulating and reflecting toward thinking activities of oneself. Metathinking could be differentiated into general metathinking and situational metathinking. The former reflects the stable individual difference of metathinking; whereas, the latter reflects the situational performance of metathinking in special cognitive task situations.Based on the framework of tricomponents of metathinking, i.e., planning, monitoring and regulating, and reflecting, we designed the general metathinking scale and the situational metathinking scale. Each of them included 16 items and adopted a 5point Likert scale. The pretest of the two scales showed that some items of the scales are low of factor loadings and not clear in meaning. So these items are revised in the aspects of expression and wording. The revised scales were administrated to a sample of 381 students in the grades of 5, 8, and 11. The results showed that both the general metathinking scale and the situational metathinking scale had a good internal consistency reliability, retest reliability, construct validity, convergent validity and criterionrelated validity. It suggests that the two scales are effective instruments to measure individuals general and situational metathinking.

Ecological Therapy and the Ecological Therapy System Model
    Psychology: Techniques and Application. 2016, 4 (6):  376-382.  DOI: 10.16842/j.cnki.issn2095-5588.2016.06.008
    Abstract ( 315 )   PDF(pc) (4054KB) ( 675 )   Save
This paper adopted literature research and comparative methods to summarize the methodology and the research objects of psychology in recent a hundred years. On methodology, psychology develops from the methodology of scientific psychology to the methodology of ecological psychology; on the research objects, the research category of self develops from biological nature to ecological self. Ecological therapy arose from that background, and the author introduced and compared the similarities and differences of various ecological treatments on the basis of the predecessors. The system model of ecological therapy is put forward, which combines the traditional urban system therapy and the new ecological therapy into the common system, integrates the characteristics of different psychological schools.
