The Effect of Gratitude Behavior Training on Subjective Well-Being and Academic Achievement of College Students

Abstract:

Gratitude contributes to the improvement of individual happiness and academic and work achievements.In recent years, some studies have investigated the actual effect of gratitude intervention on improving individual subjective well-being and work achievement, but its effectiveness is still questionable. In this study, the gratitude behavior training methods of "gratitude list" and "gratitude visit" were used to conduct a 10-week gratitude intervention experiment on vocational college students, in order to investigate the effect of gratitude behavior training on the subjective well-being and academic achievement of vocational college students. The results showed that the subjective well-being and academic achievement of the experimental group after gratitude behavior training were significantly higher than those before gratitude behavior training, and also significantly higher than that of the control group. Research shows that gratitude behavior training can significantly improve the subjective well-being and academic achievement of vocational college students. This study provides new evidence for the effectiveness of gratitude intervention, and also provides reference for gratitude educationandgratitude interventionin colleges and universities.
