The Characteristics of Language Information in the Process of Referential Communication

Abstract: The research took college students as subjects and designed the virtual learning materials. It created the paradigm of referential communication to explore the characteristics of language information by the tasks of functional prediction and dimensional selection. The results showed that: The relevant information and irrelevant information showed significant changes in the referential communication process; The relevant information did not show significant difference between two tasks; The irrelevant information in the dimension selection was significantly less than block10. The results proved: The relevant information in communication language in the late stage of learning was relatively less; The irrelevant information was relatively too much by comparison between the tasks.
