Cue Integration and Its Validity in Judgment of Learning

Abstract: Based on the cue utilization model, previous studies have found that individuals can make judgment of learning based on single or multiple cues. The latter involves the cue integration in judgment of learning. The paper introduces related research when multiple external cues, multiple internal cues, and internal and external cues are presented simultaneously. On this basis, we propose that future research can continue to explore the cue integration in judgment of learning from the types of cues, the level of cues, and the effect of cues. At the same time, we point out that future research should focus on individual differences in cue integration under different number of cues, and analyze the influence of cues on judgment of learning at the individual level.
