The Relationship between Locus of Control and Seekingknowledge and Initiative Learning Motivation: The Regulating Effect of the Sources of Students and Selfsatisfaction

Abstract: This study aims to explore the regulating effect of selfsatisfaction of college students of independent recruitment and unified recruitment on their external locus of control and seekingknowledge and initiative learning motivation. 336 college students of independent recruitment and 266 students of unified recruitment were surveyed using the Learning Motivation Scale, the Adult Nowicki Strickland Internal External Control Scale(ANSIE), and the Tennessee SelfConcept Scale(TSCS). Results show that:(1)the seekingknowledge and initiative learning motivation and selfsatisfaction level of the independent recruitment group are significantly higher than those of the unified recruitment group, while the external locus of control is lower;(2)the external locus of control and seekingknowledge and initiative learning motivation have a significant negative correlation;(3)selfsatisfaction plays a regulating role in external locus of control and seekingknowledge and initiative learning motivation;(4)the enrollment type has significant regulating effects on regulation of selfsatisfaction level.
