Framework of Classroom Boredom Coping Strategies Questionnaire for College Students: Reliability and Validity Study

Abstract: Based on literature review, open investigation of 150 undergraduates and interview with 21 students, the initial questionnaire of Classroom Boredom Coping Strategies was originally developed. We established Classroom Boredom Coping Strategies Questionnaire for college students and examined its reliability and validity by predicting and formal samples included 313 and 318 undergraduates respectively. It was found that the questionnaire had good reliability and validity, which contained 18 items and were four-dimensional structure, including cognitive-approach, behavioralapproach, cognitiveavoidance, and behavioral-avoidance. The structure validity, criterion validity, internal reliability and retest reliability were suitable for the demands of psychometric. So it could be an effective measure tool of college students classroom boredom coping strategies.
