The Impact of Selfconstruction on Altruistic Punishment

Abstract: The present study aimed to explore the impact of different selfconstruction, tendencies, independent and interdepenolent self conseruction tendencies, individual altruistic punishment. The results showed that: (1) under third-party punishment category, participants with interdependent selfconstrual tended to take tougher altruistic punishment; (2) under secondparty punishment category, participants with independent selfconstrual was more inclined to take tougher altruistic punishment; (3) there was no significant difference in gender about altruistic punishment. The result can be applied to practice based on the actual life, which was proved that there was significant difference in maintaining social fairness between different selfconstrual tendencies.
