Abstract: Research had shown that peer relationship may be an important predictive indicator for the internet addiction. Studies had also found a close correlation between core selfevaluation and internet addiction. However, the underlying mechanism among peer relationship, core selfevaluation and internet addiction was still to be explored. The present study investigated 303 college students by approaches scaling their core selfevaluations, internet addiction and interpersonal relationship. Results showed that a good peer relationship and core selfevaluation was an effective predictive factor for the internet addiction, and that core selfevaluation as a key variable played a mediating role in correlation between peer relationship and internet addiction.
