Abstract: Using scenarios experimental method, the study aimed to explore how an individuals moral judgment was influenced by different moral events and social relation types. Employing 7 (seven types of social relations, between participants)×2(two types of moral events, within participants) mixed design, the study presented participants with descriptions of the two types of moral events related with one of the seven social related people. 1120 middle school students from twelve rural middle schools in Jiangxi Province participated in the experiment, with 160 students for each relationship condition. The final dataset consisted of 969 participants. Results showed that an individuals judgment of whether a social related others violating moral behavior should be condemned was influenced by different social dyads significantly. ANOVA analysis showed that an individuals judgment of whether a social dyads conduct of violating moral behavior should be condemned was significantly affected by different social related others and moral events, and the interaction effects of social related types and moral events were significant. An individuals judgment of whether a social others conduct of violating moral behavior should be condemned also varied with different types of social oders and genders, for each moral type, the main effect of gender was significant. Contrary to male students, female students judged the social related others violating behavior more severely, especially in father-son dyad and brother-hood dyad.
