Revised Fear of Evaluation Scale

Abstract: Purpose:The fear of evaluation is a kind of cognitive symptoms which closely related to psychological adaptation,which affects many aspects of mental health. In this study,we investigated the applicability of the two scales of the students, both the positive evaluation of fear and the negative evaluation of fear. Approach:The study carried out with questionnaire,the participants were from middle school in fuzhou,in a total of 428 members.Different statistical metheds were used in the whole data process such as factor analysis,correlation analysis,multiple hierarchical regression and structural equation modeling.Conclusions:Based on the analysis and discussion,the conclusions are:(1)the revised postive evaluation scale of fear(FPES) was appropriate for assessment in Chinese midlle school students,with high reliability and validity.(2) the revised one factor of BFNES and two factors of BFNES were both appropriate for assessment in Chinese midlle school students ,with high reliability and validity.Compared with two factor scale,one factor of BFNES is superior.
