Employment Quality of College Graduates in South of Jiangsu: The Effect of Self Efficacy and Career Expectation

Abstract: To investigate the relationship of college graduates’ employment quality, career decision making selfefficacy and career expectancy, 408 college graduates from Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou were selected to fill in the Employment Quality Questionnaire, Career Expectation Scale and Career Decisionmaking Selfefficacy Scale(CDMSE). We found that(1) Correlation analysis shows that there is significant positive correlation between career decisionmaking selfefficacy, career expectation and employment quality of college graduates. (2) The result of regression analysis shows that career expectation plays an intermediary rolebetween career decisionmaking selfefficacy and employment quality.Conclusion: Career decisionmaking selfefficacy can not only directly affect the quality of employment, but also can influence the quality of employment through career expectation.
