Experimental Study on Effects of Course Education on College Students Lay Theory of Ethnicity

Abstract: In order to explore the effect of course education on college students lay theory of ethnicity, this study used the experimental group and control group repeated measurement experiment design to investigate 164 college students. The results demonstrated: (1)After learning the curriculum, college students significantly improved social constructionist theory of ethnicity, without changing essentialist theory of ethnicity; (2)The college students who did not learn the curriculum did not significantly change both the essentialist theory and the social constructionist theory; (3)The research also showed that the essentialist theory based on the social culture difference and the social culture constructionist theory based on the social culture were college students lay theory of ethnicity.
