Abstract: Objective: To discuss the different attributions of the college romances breakingup from different opinions. Method: 159 normal university students were surveyed with the selfdesigned questionnaires. They were required to assess the important degree of each factor which affects the romance breakingup on a single scale from different positions. Result:(1) On the position of a bystander,there was no significant difference between the male and female assessors on the four factors.(2)The degrees of the four factors’ importance were significant different when they were assessed from two positions,initiatively parting or the passively parting position. The sex and the position factors had no interaction on the form factor,spiritual pursuit factor and personal appearance factor,except on the family factor.(3) Positions and parting factors had significant interaction on assessing the importance of the factor. The female students on the position of initiatively parting believed that the four effect factors have different effects on the parting. The importance ordered as follows: Form factor,spiritual pursuit factor,family factor and personal appearance factor. However,for the male on the position of passively parting,the order was as follows: Family factor,form factor,spiritual pursuit factor,and personal appearance. Conclusion: The importance degree of the four parting factors were significant different between female of initiatively parting and male of passively parting. Female students were more emphasis on the effects of form factor and spiritual pursuit factor,but on male students’ opinion, family factor was the most important factor,and personal appearance factor was more effect on the parting.
