The Influnce of Money Priming and Subliminal Affective Priming on Helping Behavior

Abstract: The experiment exploreed the influence of money priming and subliminal affective priming effects on helping behavior using a 2×3 betweengroup design. The results showed that: (1)The main effect of money priming was significant which mean that helping behavior in the money priming condition was significantly less than helping behavior in the subliminal affective priming condition. (2)The main effect of subliminal affective priming effects was significant which meant that helping behavior in the neutral emotions condition was significantly less than helping behavior in the positive and negative emotions condition. (3)The money priming and subliminal affective priming had a significant effect. In the positive emotions condition, money priming could reduce helping behavior significantly.In the tropical fish priming condition, helping behavior had significant difference between the positive and neutral emotions condition, helping behavior had significant difference between the negative and neutral emotions condition, but helping behavior did not have significant difference between the positive and negative emotions condition.
